Ah, that's how I took it initially, but then second guessed myself and thought there might be some other meaning.

I agree. Forums are way better than fecebook. Not many of the old forums left, and most of those that are have fallen into ruin.

For some reason after my original fb account got hauled off to FB-Guantanamo (still pissed at Zuckerberg about that) in the dead of night in March 2021 and was killed about eight months later, I went back when I found out I had a second fb account on another email that I had forgotten about. I was only reminded of it when someone tried to hack it and I got a 'change password' email. I used the link fb sent and saw I had a totally unused account from 2007, so I changed the password and started using it. A glutton for punishment I guess for going back in

And, yes, the forums are better, but my dopamine-addicted mind likes the FB, precious.

Twitter is my dopamine (or adrenaline, some days) drip, but it is admittedly not a "social network" in that it's impossible to build a community there.

Twitter... I signed up for an account when it first materialized but hardly ever used it. Then the hackers kept trying to hijack it with password changes and every time I did try and log in I had to go through the whole 'prove this is you' BS, so I finally deleted it in ... 2013? Haven't missed that whole internet interaction...

I had to take a break from forums in general. Now I'm easing back in with the nicer forums.
