That's really all I had to say.

The book is better than the movie!

There, did that help? :)

Hope your day improves.

Sorry to hear that hal. Maybe some venting could help you feel better.

I've been hungry more than a few times over the past few days and that's threatening to make me grumpy. I'm trying to change my eating style for the better and darnit! It's hard!

No, no, :drunk: when you're in a bad mood may just make the mood worse.

Also, I just noticed that I keep writing your name as Ari-Anna for some reason... Hmmm. :cheers My apologies.

no, :drunk: will help. Always easier to ignore what annoys me... of course right now, I'm at work... tonight, well, we'll see...

EDIT: and yes, Frelga, that helped ;)

Being at work is a good thing right hal? I remember you saying you'd been unemployed for a while. So focus on the positive of making money! :)

Iavas: :LMAO:

As an aside, ever since Lord Morningstar mentioned that he thought both Iavas and hal were INFJ's, I have had a strong empathy for BOTH of you. So is it true? Are we siblings according to Meyers-Briggs?

If it makes you like me more, even *I* haven't done an EE marathon yet (actually, this has made me realise it's high time I did!).

Anth, I have to confess I don't know anything about Meyers-Briggs personality types. :P

Iavas, when I started a sales job about 13 years ago, we HAD to take the Meyers-Briggs test. Not only was I the only INFJ in the sales force at that time... there were about 75 people... but I was one of only three who were introverts.

:Q

I haven't really thought about it since. But after one of the TORCquake things (I think it was one of the afterquakes, actually) L_M commented that he thought both you and hal were INFJ's.

I immediately felt a bond. ;)

Hey, hal, are you feeling any better? I can cough up a few knock-knock jokes, if that would help...

:D

An INFJ in sales??? My condolences! I'm an IxxJ, I think - er - I feel. Can't get those middle two to settle down and decide what they are. My biggest problem is I just can't answer simplistic questionnaires that are designed to sort us out.

Q: Would you rather go to a museum or fix your car this afternoon?

Well, doesn't that depend on whether or not my car works now? Or if they still have that special showing on the Dalai Lama or Elvis or rhomicosidodecahedra whatever at the museum? Or if the weather is OK for biking so I don't need a car? Or if my delightfully handy husband is home and could fix said car? Or if hubby and I would really rather do Plan C because both of the kids are off someplace else? Sheeesh! How am I supposed to answer a complicated question like that?!?!?! And this isn't because I'm a P rather than a J. I can definitely choose my option and run with it. But sometimes I tend to step out of the box and run around and then I can't find the box any more. Am I making any sense at all?

Holby, you are going to have to give us more to go on, or this thread will get seriously derailed.

Right. The soundtrack is better in the movie than in the book. :P

Anth, do tell the knock-knock jokes. My son loves them, and I could use a few myself. My mood just went from  to :rage: and I am separated from chocolate.

laureanna, :D that's how I feel about those online questionnaires. I'm always looking for "none of the above" or "all of the above" options, and I always think that "it depends" is the correct answer to every question. I'm an INTJ, and I wonder if you are, too.

As to museum vs. car fixing - well, if I need my car to get to the museum, that would settle it.

:LMAO:

I MADE myself take that job. I have this ornery streak which rebels against limitations... even when I place them on myself. I hate roller coasters, and yet I will always go on the highest one at any park. I am wary of birds, but I have had three different parakeets as pets.

I learned that I can function just fine in sales, even though it was an effort every day just to get out of the car. I even found people who liked my low-key approach... :Q

I learned that parakeets are pretty, happy pets.

But I still hate roller coasters.

:P

It was only the first two EEs....
