Oh gosh... you do look radiant indeed.
Wonderful landscapes... the grey mountains and the dry plains remind me so much of home... :)

It's very hard to respond to more than a dozen commenters and well-wishers when they mostly say a variation of the same thing --- but I'm going to give it a shot. :D

Prim --- Yes, there were naked primates in the road. I still can't believe it. And the Griffonly claws can retract, you know, so one can't judge savageness on first appearances. :D And thanks for your high praise in comparing the pics to Oregon.

Voronwe --- two admins in a row ... I think I would faint if not for my total disregard for authority. ;) Thanks for the thanks, friend. :)

Sass --- I'll have you know that cat Grisabella is my dear friend who often licks my handses. And you are greedy. Self-awareness is a good thing.

Amrunelen --- So you're asking for more photos too ... I'm waiting for someone to say enough is enough. Thanks for not breaking the string. :D

yova --- How much do you love this place?

Lacemaker --- Why thank you. I think ... ;) I'm often a bit uncertain when smilies get used in place of words ...

ol'toby --- Speaking of using smilies in place of words ... :D Thanks for the kind heiroglyphics. ;)

Impenitent --- All's right with the world indeed, from where we're standing :)

Alandriel --- Thanks for your thanks. And I do feel lucky, yes. But lock myself in the car because of the baboons? :Q I was tempted to get out and run around with them ... but I hear they can be quite nasty ...

ttbk --- Not enough pictures of us two eh? Maybe we'll take a picture of a cricket ball and a baseball and say they're us. ;) :D

Eru --- South Africa is a great place to visit, yes. Thanks for the compliments. :)

Rowanberry --- So you're another one waiting for more ... and you got it. Thanks for the compliment.

Nin --- About the page stretching ... we sized all the photos after the first batch to 800 pixels wide. This seemed to be fine the first time around, but apparently this is still too wide when people with wide avatars post. I hope it's not stretching too much ... Thanks for the triple love smilies ... :)

notlistening --- Yes, the sword on the wall is clool. Thanks, and we are having a fun time.

sylthian --- Beyond words, you say ... but apparently not beyond a row of smileys ... ;) Thanks for your lovely compliments. :)

enchantress --- How many installments of *AWWWWWW* is that now, anyway? :D But they are always appreciated ... :)

Ara-anna --- If you visit just carrying your own bags I'm sure you'll have a lovely time too ;)

She cut her hair? :Q

I think Farmond is bad influence on her. :suspicious:

You guys have got to get those hugs working down to the hips!!!! Hugs at the shoulder are nice, but real hugs snuggle right down the chest and hips. I'll be paying close attention to future photo's and I expect to see more snuggly body contact!

I'll reserve my first Awwws for then :-)

Alatar

ttbk - I like the short hair! ( as, incidentally, does Faramond, who did not have a say in it, only a chance to give his opinion ) I've had short hair most my life - only had it long the past two years. And am now heartily sick and tired of it. How do you girls with long hair MANAGE IT? :Q It drove me nutso! :D

Alatar sweetie - the hugses we photograph are the shoulder hugses. All the other Faramonster and Griff "snuggly body contact" - SO not for curious eyeses ;) :D

You look cute either way, it was just a bit of a shock, and you didn't say anything about it. :D

Look at you two! I do declare, this thread made my day brighter. So nice to know that two wonderful people are happy together, somewhere half a world away.

Griff, you look fahbulous, absolutely great with short hair.

<scrolls through>

Stunning country, Suid Afrika!
Positively verdant.
I only remember the Zimbabwean shades of straw and brown.
Bush country.

Lots and lots of detangler and a good brush. ;) :D Mine's down to the bottom of my back when straightened/wet, at the moment...though I think I'll have a few inches chopped off soon.

ACK!!1

I can't believe I missed new pics... where in the Sam Hill have I been, anyway?

Griffy, your hair looks wonderful, and I LOVE the T-shirt.

Faramonster, you are one lucky monster, indeed!
