Oh lord, Geocities. I tried a website though them once. I'm glad it's dead now.

See HOF response. Cheese should be okay if it's lactose intolerance. Check the label: no carbs means no sugars, including lactose.

Mmm, sauteed potatoes. Even better than hash browns. Especially when you let them just caramelize, so they pick up the touch of crispiness. A bit of ground pepper, some sea salt... :yummy:  That's it: waffles, eggs and bacon for dinner tonight. And bread pudding for dessert. :D And sauteed po...

Nonono, you put the pecan bits IN the waffles by sprinkling them on the iron before you pour the batter on, THEN you put butter and maple syrup on the finished product. Do I have to explain everything to you people? :suspicious: On the other hand, I think brunch buffets need bread pudding with choco...

This thread is now about waffles. With honest maple syrup, no corn involved.

I use body english for terminal guidance. This looks silly in bowling, but just plain weird in archery. :D

I would say more like bowling balls. You give them an initial push, a little spin, and hope they don't end up in the gutter.

September left me weary
A harvest of meetings and appointments
Rummaging through drawers for sweaters
Memories too fresh to lay aside, too old
To settle lightly
Like leaves
On the lawn

Sure--but to a great extent the entire concept of a justice system is based on it being, well, systematic, as opposed to capricious.

Joyce, like a lot of 20th century experimental writers, could write more conventionally when it suited him, and do it very well. Look at his short stories, which are superb. And Ulysses makes more sense if you read his story collection Dubliners first anyway, I think. I feel like re-reading Dubliner...

The justice is in showing the system of justice itself works. Whether one believes his crime against the young woman has been forgiven, expiated, or otherwise dealt with, the fact remains that he thumbed his nose at the system and ran because he could . If the judge was indeed biased, or the sentenc...

As Lindred noted, George Marting hated the hard-pan stereo versions too.

Note the stereo CDs are available a la carte, while the mono set is just that, and sold out anyway. For now.

Like would be a strong word. But there's something to listen to now, at least. On the other hand, there's a separation effect in "Mother Nature's Son" that sent shivers down my spine...the acoustic guitar on the right channel, near the end, sounds like it's panning over to the left--except...

The White Album was the last one done mono, but that's kind of misleading. It was also the first one where they had access to 8-track recording, so they both didn't have to bounce down so much, and yet could bounce down more if they wanted to. The transition to stereo was ongoing at that point, so t...
