Yeah, my tomatoes are doing terribly but I never saw aphids on them. Could they be damaging roots? Them or some other ant livestock?

Was it River who said that fertilizing is just trying to recreate decomposing corpses in the ground without the actual murder?

Oh, good point. My raspberry is a clumping kind, not the brambles kind, but it already has a nice little row of babies.

Maybe some pretty plants that grow food? ;) My neighbors planted a pomegranate, and the flowers are beautiful. Although it's probably a warm-climate plant.

Your new yard sounds wonderful. And the blueberry bushes I've seen also look very nice.

I would literally not survive that kind of heat if I had to be outside. We finally hit 80F and I'm wilting. My mom, only 20 miles away is over 100F. We are very fortunate that her AC unit went out a month ago, before the heat started, so they replaced it abd didn't have any interruptions on hot day...

Of course it's Florida. Central Florida is a hot spot for leprosy, report says The concerning part is that they can't trace how the patient contracted the disease, which means it's endemic in the population. But not too concerning, because the disease does not spreads readily and is very treatable. ...

Good call! We are currently within a strip about 5 miles wide where the weather was not scorching last week. This week, we'll be below 70F until Friday, which is how I like it.

What do they think it's going to float on, sulfuric acid? The hubris of these people and the fact that they are not hiding in a deep hole, ashamed to show their faces.

Assuming NYP didn't make it up.

Jude, was it just regular soap? Or a special one? (I think I asked that before...)

I have aphids on roses. Vaseline is worth trying.
