it seems likely that were we and our frameworks not present, things would keep chugging along as they are. The lack or presence of an observer is really only an issue for the observer. I would agree if only I were not the observer. Being the observer, I hesitate to guess what is happening in my abs...

Juicy philosophical discussions suck me in every time. ;) Jadeval, I think where you are losing people is in trying to bring hundreds of years of debate to bear on the subject all at once. Correct me if you think me wrong, but I believe the simplest place to begin is with the foundational premise of...

Jude, no, not exactly. What I got was a notification that a withdrawal had been attempted and failed. But the notice wasn't really from paypal; it was phishmail. Luckily I was just suspicious enough to notify Paypal security, and they got back to me within about 5 minutes telling me the letter was f...

Rangers, or whomever monitors the account for B77 .... have you guys gotten any messages or invoices from the new owners of NoeClue that there are billing problems or unpaid invoices? I just had a really weird experience with Paypal today, and I want to make sure it's not part of a pattern related t...

During the 1980s the United States government was supporting Osama bin Laden and the Taliban, remember? The Russian invasion of Afghanistan, remember?

We didn't get an answer yet, Alatar, and our ticket was submitted about two weeks ago.

Prim googled NoClue and apparently they are in the process of switching servers and having all kinds of problems. They're 'inbox' is full, as it were, and they have not been responding to tickets or emails.

tinwe, you're neither clueless nor useless. :D The only person who can send a support ticket is the administrator of record for the site. I believe that's *E* here, isn't it?

You have to have the site owner's password to communicate with the server.

Watcher,

Secret spa? - full of leaky pipes.
Fluffy robes? - speckled with mildew.

If you've got fresh doggy biscuits in your pocket, the first throw is all yours. :D

Jude,

Putty Paws! What a great name for a dog! :LMAO:

 Hi, Jude!

<Thanks and back atcha. I thought that was an excellent idea to elect your dogs to run B77. Look how eager and wise they are! And they can be bribed with doggy biscuits I bet! Never trust a politician who can't be bribed.>

It was that guy posting about 9/11 who put up pictures so wide they broke the page in two. But you're right, Jude; he was not banned, he just left.

B77 has never banned a member without a hearing. B77 has never placed an immediate ban (unspecified duration) on anyone as far as I know. yov, off the top of my head I would guess that even the poll you started about banning hal was a violation of the charter and the thread should have been locked a...

Just fyi, you don't need a Loremaster for a hearing. Only if the jury requests one.

Yes, that's my observation too. Some people devote their time to building things, and others devote their time to griping about what others have built.

I've been careful to avoid threads like this because my input cannot be considered constructive, really, no matter what I say, but a friend of mine adopted the following quote as a signature on his emails recently, and it struck me as so true, and so relevant to what all of us were trying to do with...

Going back to the article that C-G posted .... First, please note that FIRE does not quote the University of Delaware; they only quote their own complaints about the U. of D. There was a racially motivated fatal shooting on U. of D. campuse two weeks ago, and three possibly racially-motivated killin...

One thing that always seems to be missing from any synopsis of Neitzsche is his sense of humor. He had an acid wit for the follies of earlier philosophies, and he knew them very well, you see. He was a master of all the schools of thought that had gone before him ... like Sartre (father of Existenti...
