I have a question ... Eru sent me a private message a few moments ago. A little box popped up on my screen, with a link to my message box. When I opened the message box, it showed how full my mailbox was ... 40% I think ... and it also gave me the option to post a reply. If I post a reply to a priva...

Alandriel, Here's what I do on TORC, and I just tried it out here and it works here, too. 1. Open a page 2. Select All 3. Copy 4. Paste into a word document file. 5. Repeat process for each page. Because there's so much extra space on a messageboard, I do edit the thread down after it's all been cop...

This is not really my business here, because I wasn't an original member ... but threads can be stored away from the website, can't they? Someone, or several people, could copy the threads onto their hard drive and preserve them that way. That's what I do with TORC threads that are of interest to me...

That's a man speaking! For women, the coming year is always better than the last.

Start dropping hints now to all your friends so that they'll buy you nice presents. :)

That's right, *E*, it's a name, not an acronym. Jen-Yoo-sa, with the 'e' receiving so little stress it is almost not heard. I'm afraid that when I say Berhael it comes out Bur-HILE. The 'e' kind of slides into my cheeks. Jaeniver, I do to your name what others do to mine - make it a Janey name. JAY-...

Finding this thread here is like finding a Philly cheesesteak in Amsterdam.

:LMAO:

Halplm, That's just what dhspgt said on TORC - LOL - but names with a bunch of consonants in a row really are harder to remember. No worries to anyone who spells my name wrong! I have little aids for remembering people's names - Hal, you always get an extra A which I then delete [Halpalm], and I kno...

Happy Belated Birthday, Nin. :)

I look forward to getting to know you better on this board ...

AND ...

Now, because of Nienor's post above, I DO know who both of you are. Seen you around TORC, anyway. ;)

Eru - [embarrased by many compliments] I like to talk about serious things, but not all the time. It's just as rewarding to hang out and chat and get to know people. Hi, Jaeniver! Alandriel - don't worry about fast responses where I'm concerned. Even though I consider this part of real life and not ...

Din and Berhael - Thanks for your positive comments. I didn't want to put myself forward to invite someone new, like two days after I got here (!) but since lots of us seem to know Ax, I will go ahead and start an invite thread tomorrow. (Gotta run to class right now and won't be home till late.) Er...

Thanks, Dindraug! Ahhhh <ouch!> [burns tongue drinking coffee too fast] Farawen, I don't know if Ax would join or not - he might, just for the cussedness of it. :D But he was almost strictly a Manwe guy, and was starting to feel, too, that TORC took too much time away from his own writing and his ne...

Wow - thanks for the welcome, everyone. I really am glad to be here. Most of you I do know already ... Nin, Kaya and Alandriel, I don't think we've ever posted together on TORC. Are you all mostly in the RP threads? That's something I've never done because I'm absent sometimes for weeks at a time (a...

Can I hijack Griff's thread to say hello? (Griff gave me the secret password.) :) How cool to see all the TORCers here! It's the start of a new school term so I won't be around very much for the next month at least, but will try to read your history a bit each day. WOW, someone (naming no names) sai...
