The show is being review bombed in the same way as She-Hulk and Miss Marvel. That's why Amazon has suspended ratings. Most of them are racist or misogynist trolls. Not that there aren't valid complaints, but the vast majority are clickbaiters driving an algorithm. Sometimes technology sucks.

I enjoyed it as very pretty fanfiction with lots of hints and allusions to the Silmarillion. We even see carvings of Beren, Luthien and Huan, but not explained. Lots of easter eggs for the fans, but then some major changes also.

Read the comment section on the latest trailer - it is probably not what Amazon was hoping for lol The trolling online is insane but it seems to be a very vocal minority, even a campaign. You start to see the same comments popping up on everything released. Legitimate reviews are overwhelmingly pos...

Weird. To me it looks so much better than the Hobbit. Back to practical effects primarily.

I am cautiously optimistic. Everything I've seen suggests that they are doing their best with this. The angry gatekeeper "Fans" are actually making me want to watch it more cause they are mostly spewing hate filled rhetoric about "wokeness" and holding PJ's LotR up as the perfect...

I think we could certainly look at condensing some fora, but it won't affect hosting. I'm happy to keep hosting indefinitely unless something changes with my provider.

That's 8, including Jude (who hasn't replied here but obviously posts regularly). The Rangers, Lali, Jude and I, want to open a dialogue about the long term viability of B77. Its getting less and less use, and even the prospect of a new Silmarillion based TV Series (who thought we'd ever see that) h...

I'm just trying to gauge the actual level of activity on the board, how many members are still posting (or even lurking)

Yeah, I would need to install a shunt to switch to battery if I had no power from Grid. Currently its configured that a power cutoff disables power everywhere. THis is in case of a fire, the power would be cut off outside as the Firefighters could get electrocuted if they went in with hoses.

Ok so I have 12 panels generating approx 4kWh. I then have a 5kWh Battery and an Eddi for water heating. I switched to day/night rate Electricity, so most of my consumption from the grid is at night rate, or 1/2 price. I fill the battery and heat my water in the middle of the night, then use that in...
