What if they merely augment the vestigial wings to make them functional?

My coworker's puppy dug up his sprinkler system. :|

Hopefully the puppy isn't harmed by the bulbs.

I do pickups now, but we did use grocery delivery a lot. It was a lifesaver when FIL was alive, as his care person didn't have a car, and if they ran out of something midweek, husband would have to drive over after work. I tip. I even tip the restaurant when I pick up a to go order. I figure the cou...

But that's the important question, isn't it. It sounds like the answer would affect the risk/benefit ratio for you. You could ask about scheduling flexibility, assuming you are able to do 40 hours worth of work even with the extracurriculars. Or mention previous time commitments, although I suppose ...

It's a tough choice for sure. FWIW, if you *want* that extra challenge, go for it. You've got over 10 years until retirement, it's a lot of boring workdays to endure. That said, I genuinely believe that it's OK not to want this kind of change. We are conditioned to look for challenges and rewards in...

The firefighter guy? So far he stuck to the shows that portray firefighters and EMS in what is supposed to be the real world.

Someone was doing videos about safety inspections in various fantasy locations. They did not quite hit with me, but I'll link if I see them again.

This guy is my new favorite. Not only is he hilarious, he is also supremely relatable as someone who knows how to do a thing being enraged by watching Hollywood get it 100% wrong.

You know what we've been missing? Hail. Up till now, that is.

Update: and a thunderstorm, but that's not new. On Sunday, we had two lightning strikes only a couple miles away.

Same. My expectations were so low that I was thrilled with how this actually turned out.

Twitter is my dopamine (or adrenaline, some days) drip, but it is admittedly not a "social network" in that it's impossible to build a community there.

We are under the atmospheric river. Again. Or still. San Francisco got more rain in the last two weeks than in any 13-day period on record since 1871. Shoutout to my city council for replacing storm drains this year. And to my husband for digging up the sand and mud that had clogged our driveway dra...

Once The Hobbit goes into the public domain, someone probably will.

I didn't know what to think but I also thought it involved Batman.

We are having such a mild, sunny morning. Hard to believe that we are going into two weeks of storms tomorrow. With a Schrodinger's break on Friday - the forecast switches between rain and no rain every time I look.

Spoke too soon. My garage flooded. We've lived here for 25 years and that has never happened.

We only had a couple days of rain and there are floods and mudslides everywhere. The main highway to the airport is flooded, although the alternative is not too bad. We are OK, the creek a few blocks of our house has never been trouble, although the people whose houses straddle the creek may be feel...

I think you'd need to quick-cool to be able to peel off the shell without damaging the egg, but I have been able to de-shell soft-boiled eggs in perfect shape.

Also, 13 minutes seems like a long time. Is it because the water is below boiling?

Is that poached or soft-boiled? Not that it's a crucial distinction as long as it's tasty.

Googling isn't helping much. :(
Probably because I made it up. :D

Temporal means related to time, so the world in which the time ended would be post-temporal?
