I can't share. It's story fodder. All of it.

Yes, even that. Although I would totally change the names and circumstances. I'm not an idiot.

Oh it's great to be on a ship with men and sail across the sea-o We don't know where we'll land or when but it's great to be with men (It's great to be with men) 'Cause men can cuss and men can swear and no one seems to care-o We'll throw the dishes in the sink and clog the drains with hair-o Men, m...

Teenagers would not be a problem, in my opinion. Perceptive ones might possibly "get it," and there's plenty of eye candy to distract while the brain surgery is taking place. :D

Food engineering can also lead to work at breweries, wineries, distilleries and the like. I used to know a guy who did his own props, costumes and SFX stuff as a hobby for local SF conventions. Then he started going to the big national ones. Then he got a job making the gadgets for the "Home Im...

There are enough sections where the images are designed with a large screen in mind to make a difference--perhaps a third of the movie falls into that category. That's why we went to see this instead of Up in the Air for our semiannual grownup movie date: Up in the Air strikes me as a film that woul...

It's not been promoted well in the US. Typical. Gilliam really can't catch a break.

It's worth seeing, if you can find it. I found it rather sad that some critics couldn't get past the Heath Ledger angle: if you didn't know the back story, it wouldn't matter to your appreciation of the film. I especially recommend it for anyone who works in a creative field or has children, but it'...

They'll try to place their ideas, their 'kids' in that lead role as well. Only in self-defense. :blackeye: Most of us are not Dawkinsian in our approach. There's a difference between offering your views in a forum designed for that (like here :D) and offering your views in general, without a reques...

Dave--

And as with kids, the most persuasive arguments for religion I've heard come from people who start off with disclaimers about knowing about the flaws and loving anyway. Ultimately, subjective response is the only reason that can matter...objectively speaking. :D

I'm with Maria--I view them as a warning, not a request for caution. As to removing them when no child is in the car...I know of more than one house with a "child in this room" or "pets here" decal (mostly for fire departments, I understand) who no longer have either children or ...

An exposed female ankle is distracting in some cultures. That doesn't make laws against such exposure reasonable. Nor does it make them unreasonable, if the majority of people in the culture want them, and they don't violate basic human rights. How do you know when that balance is reached? Well, as...

Are laws requiring women to cover their hair morally different from requiring them to cover their torsos? Depends on the reasoning behind them. One could (and some places do) restrict both on religious grounds. Or one could restrict one and not the other on pragmatic grounds, as exposed hair isn't ...
