I just haven't felt a need to post hobbit reviews. Maybe that's the advantage of living with someone who's equally obsessed? :D :D We've seen it twice now (both times in 3D) and are hoping to squeeze in another (2D) viewing this month as a local friend has offered to babysit. I am still swooning for...

It's looking lovely and tidy around here. Thanks to everyone who has kept the home fires burning.

It sold for £155 in the end. :D :D :D :D And they're arranging the courier. Hope it all goes smoothly - won't relax until I've got positive feedback!

First two bids are in (the auction closes at 8:30 tonight and has been running for a week). Phew... I should have enough for my new custom-made sling. ;) I've never sold on ebay before either but have bought quite a lot. I like the thought of boosting my paypal account insteads of continually hittin...

I'm selling a good-as-new buggy (stroller, for the Americans among you) on ebay and have been stunned at some of the emails people have sent me. Folks will try anything on won't they. It's barely been used as we preferred slings and I've made the reason for sale clear in the advert. Now I may have p...

Try asking on Freecycle (or similar) for unwanted moving boxes. People who have paid for a removal company to do the leg-work will usually have a stash of them once they've unpacked. We passed all ours on to my sister when she moved recently. Just out of interest, does anyone know if i'm allowed to ...

Sergeant Herpies?! *snerk* "Get down! Get off me you foul-breathed monster" squealed Leoba, as Puff Dragon-dog leaped onto her lap and started licking her face in over-excited fashion. You know, dusting off my Tolkien books makes me miss my old 'Leoba' avatar. I am not going to pay to disp...

I'll contribute a bit too. If I go AWOL, remind me via Facebook and I'll send paypal wherever paypal needs to go.

It's complicated! It's a sub-forum of a spin off of the Lush international forum. I also post/lurk on Natural Mamas. And I lurk (only ever lurk, because it's scary) on Mumsnet AIBU!.

I haven't seen the series, but Ber's raving convinced me to buy the first book. I should have got it for the Kindle as it's too bulky to lug about on the train. I'll get round to it soon though. I am a terrible fuss-pot when it comes to fantasy and dislike most of those books I've tried after Tolkien.

Come and tell me off!

I just went lurking in the bowels of B77 and wish I hadn't. I had forgotten quite how stressful our origins were. Good to keep in mind, but maybe better to not look too closely!

I think of this as my Tolkienish home. I'm happy to attempt to dabble back in RP at TORC but am not inclined to linger and chatter there. With the Hobbit movies coming out, this will almost certainly be where I come to swoon over Thorin and complain about changes to the beloved book. I am guilty of ...

I am going to be unashamedly swooning over Thorin I think. He doesn't look very Dwarfish but I don't think I'm going to be that bothered by such a triviality. :LMAO:  I think my lack of awareness around the films is less surprising when you consider that I'm not into films more generally. Bar...

So - who's still around? Echoes bounced off the myraid corners of the Orphanage, rattling the Bonsai Ents and rousing Puff Dragon Dog from deepest slumber Get this: I have just made my first RP post on TORC since 2007. Okay, it was only a teeny tiny one-paragraph jobby in the Bards' Guild but all t...

It has been too long hasn't it. I am still getting used to the idea of you now being a mum of three!

I think most people are about somewhere on the internet, just not so much here. It does feel as though a few ex-TORCers/B77ers are being rounded up via Facebook this week though. :D

*E* I too am "squeeing" lots. I wasn't at all involved in the build up to Fellowship (I only realised the film was coming out a couple of weeks before it arrived in cinemas!) and so all this is new to me. I fear I may become a squealing fangirl over some of those Dwarves. :LMAO:

I'm still around now and again. Off sick from work today and pootling all over the place. Good luck for the wedding Nin. I do hope you'll share photos. I am really really thrilled for you, you know. :D Eari - keeping everything crossed for you two to get work over in Europe. It would be brilliant to...
