Nah, just the beginning of an empty weekend. As SJ says, each book is an entirely self-contained story. It's not a soap opera series, where each book leads into the next. So far there's been only two cliffhanger endings. With the exception of those two books (#12 and #13) the rest can be enjoyed ent...

I will warn you all: The Dresden series is Evil! You can pick up a book, thinking it's just a regular story, but as you start reading, the words stay inside you, lurking within your soul, getting stronger as you turn the pages towards the middle of the book. Suddenly, about two thirds through, your ...

Supposedly the weather up here north of Seattle is supposed to be above average temperatures for the next week. And I'm on vacation for a week! Yay!

Maybe I'll get some sunbathing in...

The weather this winter reminds me why I love living where I do...we got a few frosts, a snow flurry or two, and other than that it's been pretty decent, without much rain either. I cannot complain! Yov, I envy you for having a back yard you can have some privacy in! We've got a fence and a hedge ar...

Nice to hear from both of you. Guess I should pop in myself more often. Nothing's changed much on our end, other than Vana is finally out of a job and looking for another one. It makes things interesting, but we're hoping she'll find something around the beginning of December. Any other lurkers out ...

Eari, that shouldn't be a problem, I'm very confident we can find somewhere for you two to stay. I can't wait to see you again, and I look forward to meeting Mr. Eari, and I know Vana feels the same.

Hey Guys I'll probably be posting a full thread about it, but for those of you who don't visit TORC much any more, Vana and I are pretty much sending an open invitation to all our online friends to our wedding on August 23rd. We're aware not everyone will be able to make it, particularly with us bei...

How's everyone doing?

For those that don't visit TORC anymore, I wanted to let you guys know about Vana. Back on March 21st she had heart surgery, but since then has recovered very well and is doing fine.

Now, I hope everyone else can say the same!

This is truly a sad parting of the ways. Clarke truly was a visionary, and I earnestly hope some of his unfulfilled dreams come to fruition. He will be missed. P.S. Did you know Asimov used to work for Heinlein during WWII? They were in the group who were associated with the famous "Philadelphi...

That's great news Eari! I wasn't too worried that I hadn't heard from you since last I heard you'd been very busy, and now we hear, very successful. I hope your meeting turns out good. Good luck, and enjoy your night out!

I'm an off-and-on addict...problem is, I like the taste of coffee, and it's far too expensive around here to go with decaf. My other problem is caffeine doesn't have Much of a noticeable effect on me. Instead of giving me lots of energy, generally it's just enough to keep me from falling asleep. May...

I'm BAAAAAAAAACKKKKKKK!!!!! Sorry, couldn't resist. For quite some time, for some reason, my computer has not recognized Board 77. I don't know that anyone noticed I wasn't around, other than the people who saw my rants about not getting on, over on TORC, but I have missed being here... And you'd th...
