Okay.. Mattias is now not so distracted when I was trying to clarify this earlier. Plus I was just going by the way I'd heard things referred to in my family given his sister has moved to Antwerp and I've never once heard anyone talk about how they speak Flemish there. He said that it is said that t...

As far as I know it's still said they speak Dutch. I could understand it. Mattias has always said Belgian Dutch people sound weird and I now totally hear it. :P

Propaganda pamphlets. :LMAO: Yeah I hated all the crap my university kept sending me when I became an alumni. Some people still like it and seem to have this loyalty to their universities. I see them on facebook, still rooting for the football team, going to the matches and bowl games, dressing up t...

There's nothing to range, basically.
I think this pretty much puts an end to the conversation.

Pretty sure you lose that permanent residency once you're away from the UK for long enough. :/ Sil, if a couple applies together, they get a discount. Maybe that's the £1500 you're hearing about? And yeah, the vast majority of Brits fail that test. It's a really stupid test I think. I've seen Ameri...

What I'm finding the most difficult right now (I started taking courses on January 27) is the syntax. :/ It's gonna take so long to learn. As for there being nothing wrong with moving countries for the person you love, well of course not. It's just that I've sorta done this twice. Well, it was Iavas...

Hm, dunno. My mom speaks pretty decent German and she says she could only understand a tiny bit of Dutch. My partner can understand German mostly, but can't speak it very well to them... same for Germans coming here it seems.

Ah sorry Jude, I never actually talked about it here. Ik woon in Nederland, in Amsterdam voor vijf maanden. :P (I am living in the Netherlands, in Amsterdam for 5 months.) My marriage to Iavas came to an end back in September 2010, though not officially as England makes you be separated for two year...

Old Sarum is interesting. Combine it with trip to Stonehenge. :)

Best of luck on your trip, Sil. I know what it's like going home and trying to pack as many belongings as you can!
