Ok, so Khorazir and I have been RPing together on that other site since 2001, and in 2003 we started exchanging actual RP letters in the mail (it's not truly an addiction until you spend money on it!) and then when our timeline in those letters (2 years ahead of the online RP) forced us to do almost daily writings, those letters were carried over to email, and then converted to PDFs, and then put on her site with some purty pictures (including one of a Southron I'd like to shag... but then again, Faramir's in that pic too, and I'd like to shag him too, so... yeah, looks like I've got the winning lot in that case).

*ahem* BUT ANYWAY.

There's more background info here: http://www.anke.edoras-art.de/anke_fanf ... tters.html

And of course, prurty piccies.

And I have a request in for a 6-foot-4-inch lifesize painting of Faramir. It may never happen, but it was a brilliant idea.

As were the Minas Tirith tabloid headlines which, unfortunately, do not appear on the website.

And it's after hours and I need to get out of here before security kicks me out.

KTHXBYE!

And Éowyn ;)

About the reunion-scene, I don't know how you think about it, but it would be cool if it was rp-ed, because then we'd have real interaction. Perhaps we could open an extra thread here, and use this one as an aside.

I have no problems with starting a thread on here. I think the board's getting ready to be made public toward the end of the month (or sometime soonish at least), so by the time we're ready for the reunion to be finished, our adoring fan can read it live. ;)

Ok, sounds cool. And if it isn't public then, we can always collect the posts and I can put them up on my site as pdf in regular intervals.

Ok, so when do we start? Are there going to be any more letters from Éowyn before the big reunion? Or just the one that returns unanswered?

Eowyn has a letter that'll be sent out today, it can be the one that gets sent back, if that fits in our time frame.

As for the reunion, it can start at any time. How far ahead of the actual reunion should we set it (RP-time)?

If Faramir receives this letter, he could answer it quickly, and perhaps imply a cliffhanger-situation. Éowyn's next letter then goes unanswered ...

We could start the reunion on the very day, with Faramir approaching DA. I assume he's going to be accompanied by some rangers, so he could tell them about how he managed to escape the island and thus fill the gap in the narration. Or he could tell Éowyn lateron.

So how about opening the new thread around the end of next week?

Cliffhanger? You're awful! :P

That opening sounds good. I think it would be better for him to tell of the escape on the way there, that way we all know the story (;)) and then when he inevitably tells Eowyn, we can just gloss over it by saying he told her and move on with the scene.

That's what I was thinking as well. And of course Éowyn would worry about the returned letter, and perhaps imagine what happened to him ... ;)

Tell him there's a matter of grave importance -- of life and death, really -- that you have to deal with first, before you can return to work ;)

Well, she just stopped by to tell me to meet with her in her office sometime today. Luckily I had a Quark document I was printing off (actual work-related stuff!) up on the screen instead of the reunion document, so all's cool.

Ooooh, i still need to pick up my paycheck...

Indeed. :D

I'm going to miss the size of these checks, though, once I go back to universtiy-job pay.

Elboron is so cute :)

And the part about the shirts was very touching. Poor Faramir, the only reminder of Éowyn he had were some letters.

If Elboron's not careful, he's going to turn into an unrealistic sweetheart. ;)

Ah, yes, I liked the shirts too. I also enjoyed Al-Jahmir's little taunting, nasty though it was. How is this sword-fight supposed to end up? I saw elsewhere where you said things were starting to drift away from your plans. Funny how stories do that! ;)

By the way, do you have any idea how many more posts Faramir needs to finish telling his tale? I need to know so I can figure out how to divide up the rest of the morning at Dol Arandur.

That's a good question. I'm not sure. Perhaps three more posts. Ah no, make that four ;). And another or so to get him to DA.

The fight surprised me as I hadn't thought about it before. But I think it's exactly what I needed to make the rest of the rescue work. It's amazing how things fall into place sometimes ;)

Hmm... okay. Looks like I'll have to come up with another scene or two. No problem.
