*shakes fist at Brits for starting the madness*

If you all hadn't supposedly gone loopy for the game, then the magazine I read would never have printed a sudoku grid, and I would have never started playing and gotten addicted!!!

The good side is that I know exactly how to keep myself busy during the flight to California now...

*searches web for sudokus to print out*

So - any of you going to explain what this is and how we can get addicted too?

BTW Ro--your drawing style reminds me quite a bit of that of my first wife. Which is a complement, she was and is a good artist...it just struck me looking at your avatar that the lines were familiar somehow... :Q

I stink at these - not patient enough I guess, and after awhile they just seem too much the same, well, they are the same, but, I'll just shut up now.........

:blackeye :D

Seriously, I like more variety in my brain games, so sudoku just doesn't do it.

Jude -

The craze started in Japan, caught on in Britain and now Europe, and is slowly making its way over here. It involves 9 3x3 grids arranged in a square where the numbers 1 to 9 need to be entered so that each horizontal line, each vertical line, and each 3x3 grid can only contain each digit once. So many digits are preassigned in various squares, and you need to complete all of the empty ones.

That's why they do it for me! You know those games where you had clues about people who lived in houses of different colours and you had to figure out which house John lived in and what number the house next to Mary's was? I used to love those when I was young. I think the reason I like these puzzles is that they're boring. You don't need to be a brain- if you just keep at it long enough you solve it.

I just checked it out. While I love logic puzzles, this just wasn't my cup o tea.
