A friend of mine went as Lara Croft to a Halloween party. She, too, managed to pull it off remarkably well. The first party I went to (where that picture was taken) there were a lot of physical activities which meant that I started sweating and the makeup starting running. Fortunately, there's a num...

Not pictured is my "I Believe in Harvey Dent" sticker. I didn't have it at that point, sadly.

Excellent book, probably one of the more unique fantasies I've ever read.

Just finished Lies of Locke Lamora, and then headed out and bought Red Seas Under Red Skies. :D

Our boss has told us this one so many times that I wonder if he's actually dumped a few corpses himself. 1. Go out into the middle of the desert. Say, Nevada. 2. Find a bunch of old mine shafts (I work around them, so I know where there are hundreds) 3. Drop the body down them. They're often hundred...

I see a large sign advertising the Clown Motel, where I'm staying. Across the street and up a dirt hill is a large junkyard. Below is a parking lot filled with cars, and the main street stretches off into the desert.

I was smiling at a girl driving past while I was riding my bike and I rode my bike right into a large shrubbery.

Trust me, you're not.

I suppose that's you and the lovely young lady is your girlfriend?

Elsha is correct, it does. His name is Kevin, and he is a cannibal. He catches hookers and locks them in his basement and slowly consumes their flesh, bit by bit....and he preserves their heads and hangs them on his wall as trophies. Fun, huh? Anyway....in real life, Elsha looks just like her avatar.

So, is your av two people fused together into one? The two sides of the face look rather different....

The voices in my head keep telling me that I'm completely sane.

Incidentally, your avatar looks rather creepy as well.

I suppose so. The concept behind Ender's Game was what initially attracted it to me. However, the concept behind Speaker for the Dead, while interesting, doesn't really sound like the kind of book I'd be interested in. I suppose I'll read it anyway, to see what it's like.

It looks like the negative or inverted colors of an anime drawing. Or the color scheme just be rather odd, I suppose.

True. Hard to compare with a sideways picture of a smiling torso, chin, and nose. ;)

Not to mention that William Wallace flayed one of his first enemies and wore the man as a belt.

And that the movie is chock-full of badass quotes that has never been duplicated until the release of 300.

And the Scottish accents. You gotta love the accents.

Got my copy and read it and really enjoyed it. I couldn't even recall the story very well from the first time I read it, so it was mostly new. I really enjoyed Alan Lee's drawings, (I've always been a big Lee fan) and now I need to scan them and put them up in some signatures.
